Over twenty years ago Schang Hutter left his home town Solothurn to work in Hamburg and later in Berlin. His delicate wooden figures, but also large open space sculptures in Hannover, Thun or Montreux are examples of his variable work, which explores people’s fears as well as historical context. Today, the sculptor lives in Genoa. The portrait explores the question of what has influenced the artist in his work and shows important stages and turning points of his artistic career and life between 1982-2007.
